When you move slow, you notice things that you didn't see when you were in a hurry to "get around the next corner" in life. My outdoor friends call me "Old Slow Hans", and I notice things. In my selections here I try to depict the timeless patience of nature, to cast a focus on the dignity of things that have survived far beyond the flush of pink-cheeked youthfulness, and yes, sometimes to celebrate the transient beauty of a new flower bloom or the tantalizing dance of light and shadow on a striking landscape. Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6,183 feet.
